I am using the Katadyn BEFREE FILTER in the 1 litre size on my travels, since it is a filter attached to a foldable bottle it doesn’t take up much space. It works for 1000 liters and when the time comes you can replace just the filter.

Description

The tap water in most countries in the world is no joke, even a spoon full of it can make you sick. That is why I started carrying a filter bottle with me. A lot of people advocate for the straw, but that means you have to be actively sucking / drinking the water to use it. With a bottle you can fill it, turn it upside down and filter the drinkable water into another bottle, then fill it again and have more clean water.
